how to cahnge the password in"*" so no one get what user enter?

i made a programe in which by using scanf..the user enter the password...but is there any function..or something else..so which , what ever enter the user its changeinto "*" not its shows what he enter.

There isn't any specific function for that, you will have write code for that. The best routine which i suggest for that is to use getchar and some loops.

Dont use scanf to read a string.

Have a go with this hints. post a message if u are stuck

actually..i tooke input from user...so what else its typing its apper..
what do u mean use loops...
by using looping..how can we change the charachters into some symbols??

You can't but since getchar only reads 1 char at a time you will need a loop to read a whole string.
