typecast from unsigned long int to void *

Hai !

In Turbo C i tried to typecast the unsigned long int value to void * (or char *)its showing error....
But after changing the model from medium to large its working fine....
Can any one tell me Why its working fine in the large model and not in medium model ?

Because in medium model pointers are only 16 bit but unsigned long int is 32 bit. The large model uses 32 bit pointers.
