simple login program, need help

I took a C++ program a while ago but have totally forgotten how to code it now.
I want to make a small program that telnet's into server kronos, enters in loginID (press tab), enters in password, hit enter. Hit enter again... press 1..type in employee # (press tab), type in emp password, hit enter. Below is all i can come up with currently.

#include <iostream.h>
#include <stdlib.h>

int main()
{
char telnet_array[13]; //Memory reserved for 13 characters. "telnet kronos"
char telnet_init[] = "c++ char array string example"; // initialization without specifying the size
char kronos;

cout << "A program to log into kronos" << endl;

cin >> telnet_array;
system("PAUSE");

return 0;
}
