Hi I am having a small query

For the class strstream suppose &line be the object of that class
If we want to set the class stringstream for input operations

Is this syntax is a valid syntax
line.setf(ios::in)

I am getting errors when I am using this syntax.

Help me to declare the syntax for setting the object of stringstream as input.

If I am not wrong IOS::in used only for opening a file in read mode. so is it that you want some data from the file into the onject members. if yes then this may help you.


so if suppose line is your object of class strstream

strstream line

ifstream test //standard input stream, test is object

test.open("filename");

test.read((char*)&line,sizeof(line));

this will put your data into the object members. But if I am not wrong then condition is that the file must be written using same object.
