reference count

Dear All,

Anybody can recommend me a good, easy-to-use, popular software tool to
automatically count the number of the references of an object, and when
the counter reduce to zero, it can automatically delete it. I also
think maybe some smart pointer can implement it. Am I right?

Thanks for your suggestion.
