trouble with a function and the call of it

1
I am learn c++, but have program in others languages. I have defined a function call wait with the following statement: void wait(void);
The wait does the following:
void wait(void) { gotoxy(6,12);
cout << "test wait";
getch();
}

Then inside the main I put the command wait,

I get this warning statement not a call

What am I doing wrong?

It is very hard to tell since you have not posted all of the relevent code (i.e. the call to wait is missing.

However I suspect you have put

wait;

when you need

wait();
