how to link dll in borland c compiler

hai ,
I have a app which is using a xxxx.lib file. I am compiling this application on borland c++ compiler using make file.

i am having the xxxx.dll also. I just want compile the application using the dll.

If any one knows how to use the dll please suggest...

You can, you compile the app using the xxxxx.lin and then when it runs it calls the xxxxx.dll

The xxxxx.lib file contains the redirection required to call the functions in the xxxxx.dll

I tried compiling the file using XXXX.lin instead of XXXX.lib

but i was getting error stating as not able to find XXXX.lin file

this is a typo on my part, note n is 1 place to the left of b

link with xxxxx.lib that is the correct way.
