Diffrence between 'The C Programming Language' 1978 edition and 1988 edition.

Hi All,

Can anybody please tell me if there is any considerable difference between the content of above two editions by Brian W. Kernighan, Dennis Ritchie and Dennis M. Ritchie?

New edition has a hard cover while the other has a paperback cover. That is the only difference known to me.

I am not very much familliar with C programming. I want to learn C from the scratch.

Anyhow the price difference for these books is high. If no much difference in the content I will go for the old edition.

Thank you

Ranil
