which compiler and IDE will you use?

Hi,all,
I am a newbie of C++. I am eager to get help form you to determine which IDE
or compiler should I choose because there are plenty more and make me faint.
Hope to get your recommendations.

This question probably consumes more of a new programmer's time than it
should, because it's probably the most insignificant choice you'll ever
make. Use whatever is available for your operating system. When
you're new to C++, it's unlikely you'll build any program that will
test the limits of your development environment.

For Windows, Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition, Dev-C++, and MinGW are
all decent starting options because they're free.
