write a c program which does not work in c++

Hi,
I am not giving the program but I am suggesting a way to write such a program. Just call those inbuilt functions that are given in the different header files of C & C++ compilers. Example : clrscr( ); -> this function is given in conio.h in C++ whereas the same is given in some other header file of C compiler. You just have to create a program in C calling this function and paste the same program in C++ compiler excluding the conio.h file, thus it will not work on C++.
Since C is completly adopted by C++ hence its difficult to find such a syntax that doesnt work on C++. But if there is any other method to solve ur problem then I will also be happy to know that.

Nice idea Ashish but conio.h is not a standard header, of course the question doesn't ask for standard C and C++ but I think it has to be assumed.

I would say write a program that makes use of the language differences between C and C++, for instance you could

1. write a program that makes use of the fact that in C++ all functions must be predeclared but in C that isn't required, however although it is not required in C it is good practice to predeclare all your functions.

or my prefered option

2. Write a program that takes account of the stronger type checking of C++, for instance C++ requires explicit pointer casts that C doesn't and C++ treats enums as a distinct type which C doesn't.

I expect there are other language differences that you could take advantage of but I can't think of them right now.

True but it is also very bad form in C a clever example would be good C code but still not work in C++
