Converting Gif to JPEG

Hi,

I am a not an expert in c, but i want to be one.
In many applications, we can save a jpeg/gif/bmp image as gif/bmp/jpeg.

I want to write my own program for that. i am searching the net to find
some idea. or some example programs. Please do help me.

Regards

Mary
