Very few of them handle templates the way that was envisioned by the people
who wrote the standard. Whether that follows the standard or not depends on
how the standard was written. I have never been sufficiently interested to
see what kinds of escape clauses and weasel words might be used in the
standard.

In practice, to make templates work, the source code is usually exposed to
the public, whereas not exposing the source was one intent of the language.
