compiler help needed (nu-B)

hello...

i need to integate some files which come with this instruction:

" The code compiles using GNU's make and GNU's C compiler (gcc),
available in all Linux distributions, and available for free for most
platforms."

" We also provide files supporting compilation using Microsoft's
Visual C++, i.e., the workspace (.dsw) and project (.dsp) files needed
to compile code in native Windows format. "
I'm not sure what I need to do exactly. Does this instruction imply
that if I can compile with Visual C++ then I don't need a gcc compiler?
Secondly, I have Visual Studio and can create C++ Projects but what
kind of C++ project must I create to compile the files?
thanks for the tip...

You should ask

1) to the author of the code
2) in newsgroups supporting the specified compilers
3) not here

Open the .dsw file provided. That's the project.
