Have been using Dev-C++ for programming, but didn't like it becasue it didn't do the color coding like some programs did, and couldn't print output without doing a screen capture.
anyways, just got borland c++ builder 6 and my programs are compiling, but nothing happens afterward?????? What do I do????
Could you post some code may be? It's easier to find problems what way.
I am not terribly familiar with either Dev-C++ or Borland (I use MSVC++) but you should always expect some issues when changing environments unless you have specifically taken steps to write portable code. Generally all compilers have their own features and extentions.
A general approach would be to take the simplist program that exhibits the behaviour and then try to simplify it more until either at some point the behaviour is no longer exhibited (i.e. the code works in both environments) in which case the last change you did should point you to the problem or you get to a minimal program that exhibits the behaviour. At that point you can try to work out what the problem is or post the code for help.
Once you have worked out what the problem is then you can fix all your programs (hopefully) with easy.
