RAM testing techniques?

Does anyone have any sample code/ algorithms for various
RAM testing techniques? Such as:
Abraham-Thatte
Galpat
Walkpat
any others???

There are key aspects of a RAM test that cannot be written in standard
C. If the register keyword was guaranteed to put a variable in a
register you could come closer, and you would definitely need the
volatile keyword, but I've always found it easier and simpler to use
assembler.
Any help would be appreciated...
