callgraph using static analysis

This might not be the best forum..but I thought of taking my chances.
I would like to generate a callgraph for a class without executing it
(i.e.
by only doing static analysis of the source code). I undestand virtual
functions
in C++ makes this tougher to do but my hunch is that this should be
doable for
simpler scenarios (and atleast for C). Does anyone know of any
softwares
that would generate callgraphs by analysing the source code only?

Thanks much!

what kind of callgraph do you need?

I think you can try source insight that can give you some callgraph.

I just need a visual representation of which function calls whom.

Have a look at doxygen and dot (from the graphviz package).
