where to inform about TR1/TR2 progress

What is a good resource to get information about the progress
of TR1/TR2 specification ?
I'm an ordinary programmer and I'm interested in things like:
Will TR2 plan an unicode string support or provides TR2 a standardized
database interface ?
Is there an URL which keeps interested persons up to date without
reading through a vast quantity of specifications ?

Yes.
or provides TR2 a standardized
database interface ?

Make a proposal if you want it.

Yes.

You say yes, but where did you found this information at
http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg21/ ?

I have much respect for people who are able to make a
proposal. But I hoped to find an easy way to get information
about the future of C++. I found a wishlist and a document for
TR1.
One word regarding the database interface. I work for a
very large mail order system company which does quite a lot
of work with (mainly Oracle) databases. Oracle has a mature
C (OCI) and C++(OCCI) interface for application developer.
However the company decided to use Java for future development.
One reason was JDBC.

From the call for proposals for TR2:

"The committee especially welcomes proposals in the following areas:

* Unicode "

That means the comitee plans to add unicode support in TR2.
That doesn't mean, though, that it will be there for sure.

It's not because a library isn't a standard one that you can't use it.

It means that we'd like to see a proprosal. Without a proposal, nothing
will happen.

Well, TR1 is finished, going through the final formal steps for ISO
approval. For details, see
http://www.open-std.org/jtc1/sc22/wg...2005/n1836.pdf, or my
book, to be published this summer.

How are the chances that wishs from the committee will implemented ?
I read fall 2006 is closing date for TR2 proposals, not much time.
Regarding Unicode I see no library at boost.org but unicode could
be almost considered as a prerequisite for XML integration(another wish).
