Am i wright in saying that if i open emacs to to write my program i can then run it in the gcc compiler by useing,
cmod 755 c++.txt, then use this to display it,
../c++.txt

No. That is wrong on almost every level.
Do a search for gcc howto and I also suggest getting a book on basic

OK i missed the h out of chmod , My linux commands should be ok i
installed gentoo and went to colledge for that but YES my c++ is not
good.:)

You don't "run it in the compiler", you compile and link it with the
compiler (and linker) and *then* you may run it.
