I found two resources for you to learn how to read and write into the registry with C++ Builder. Both are excellent resources.I hope they help you. I learned quite a bit reading these three pages.

I found this post while searchin through google and I know its been a LONG time but for anyone who is interested go to this site it has a good tutorial about using the registry through C++. It also has a bunch of other useful things. Maybe you would be interested, the link to the C++ tutorials is http://hawk-ware.awardspace.com/tutorials/cpp.html
