CPU temperature reading

I need a function to read the temperature of the CPU or other devices on my
motherboard. I have seen programs out there like "speedfan" where this is
possible. I would greatly appreciate any pointers on this.

Try comp.os.<your_os_name_here>.programmer or something like that. C++
_language_ has no means to "read the temperature of the CPU".
