Anyone who knows how to uses openssl libraries?

Hi everyone,

i am trying to write a C program of signature verifying and i need your
help indeed...

well, the program reads the public key from a X.509 certificate file.
then the public key can be used in the process of decrypting the
signature which sent by the sender.

i know the openssl libraries provide lots of functions for
encryption/decryption, but i puzzled over those huge number of
functions.

i don't know which function can be used as:
1. parsing the ANS.1 encoded X.509 certificate and find the public key.
2. save the public key into the struct "RSA" which defined by the
library itself.

but i know how to use the "RSA_public_decrypt" function. :)

my english is not so well, thank you for reading this mail.
