.a vs .lib files

Greetings,

I'm using a windows gcc compiler for a project.

Instructions of a tools-package that I'm using advises me to move all my .h
files to my local "include" folder, and to move the .a file to the "lib"
folder.

When I run my test program I keep getting loads of these linker messages:
"undefined reference to..."

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You have to instruct your linker to include those libraries. For gcc this
is done with the -l parameter. See the manual for gcc for details.

Thanks Martijn, could the server of the website you prescribed possibly be
down?

Just in case you're looking for the manual, that website looks like his
personal (or business) site. For information on gcc, check out:

Thanks for the hint - that's my personal website but I changed it recently
and there was a typo in it :S.
