God, software patents, I hate you, die.

I believe this to be off-topic; this does not appear to relate to the
use of the C++ programming language, but rather, commercial ventures
which may or may not involve specific applications implemented in C++.

Apologies, this was meant to be in reply to 'New object-oriented
parallel pattern matching algorithm'.
