sql question

i have a weird thing going on....
i have a primary key...and im getting primary key violation
the key being created does not exist....
but im still getting a pk violation....
any ideas...

it might be that the primary key follows some restrictions on the form
that are allowed.

im blind....i found it...sorry for the bother...but mite help others in the
future
i had 2 instances of the same table..so while one was being updated the
other error'd out and my error system could not distinguish them..since
there the same table just two instances....oops.....one of them mornings...

sorry..but writting c++ and processing sql via ado

Both SQL and ADO are OT in c.l.c++. Vendor-specific APIs should be
addressed in a forum for that (hint: look in microsoft.public.*). Even
if you're using C++ to manipulate them, they're OT. Consider:
Minesweeper is written in C++, so should I be allowed to post
Minesweeper questions here? I don't think so.

Also, please don't top-post. Both of these items are addressed in the
FAQ for this newsgroup.
