warning: namespaces are mostly broken in this version of g++

Hi,

I am trying to compile a source code with gcc 2.7.2.3. Here is one of
the warning I get:
warning: namespaces are mostly broken in this version of g++

Does anybody know what it means? I think it might the reason of the
erros I get afterwards...

This is probably better director to gnu.g++.help. And is topic for this
newsgroup. But as a quick suggestion, try getting a newer version of GCC.
The version you are using is ancient.

You should probably take a look at this if you are interested in

Install Fedora Core 2 (or higher) - you'll get gcc 3.3.3 - works great.

It means just what it says. That this version of g++ doesn't properly
support namespaces. Why are you using such a very old compiler anyway?
I think it might the reason of the erros I get afterwards...


Then get a newer version.
