Does this exist?

Hi,

I'm looking for something like the "browse info" feature of MSVC++, but a
more generic solution, as I'm not using MSVC++. I'm sure something like
this exists, but I can't even figure out what it's called in order to
Google for it.

Basically, I have a ridiculously big mountain of C++ source code -- several
thousand files written by several dozen different people. I need some sort
of tool to parse and generate meaningful information about this big mess.
MSVC's "browse info" is pretty cool... It lets you do things like "go to
declaration of foo," etc... but MSVC just isn't an option for this
project.

For now, I've just been using "grep" on the whole source tree to find what
I need, but that approach has its limitations, obviously. So does a tool
like this exist?

Thanks.

Yes, it's called an IDE, and it's off topic here.

KDevelop, MonoDevelop, Anjuta, Eclipse CDT...

Its not necessary called an IDE, sometimes its named [ce]tags or
doxygen - tools which would be offended if you call them an IDE. The
only thing they have in common - they are offtopic too.
