Whats a CEdit control?

Some non-standard extension I'd say. So this question should go to a
newsgroup dedicated to the platform/library/compiler that the op is
programming for.

comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.win32

The answer is: You can't (unless you're insane). You must use a
RichEdit Ctrl and provide an ole server that can display the images
(no animated gif's - bitmaps)
If you really want to have editing and animated gif, you must use a
CHtmlEdit, which comes with MFC from .net 7.1 and higher.

MFC is not C++, we deal with standard C++ here.
