C/C++ Users Journal on Fleabay

While searching for an auction of back issues I came upon a couple of
listings for 1 year subscriptions for $10.00.

Couple of questions:
a) how is the seller able to list so cheap and still make a profit when
the subscription for the rest of the herd is $30.00. (i.e. how is he
getting a subscription for under $10?)

b) is this some sort of a scam? I was thinking of plunking down the
$10, but 8-12 weeks later if I don't get anything, I'm kind of up the
creek as far as trying to dispute the charge with my credit card
company. And we all know fleabay doensn't do 5hit to protect buyers.
