This is the most popular group for C++. The least popular group for C (a
different language) is news:comp.lang.c Warning: They are more grumpy even
than us.

Popularity is not accuracy. When you have a question, search with

There's also: news:alt.comp.lang.learn.c.c++ which can be the most
appropriate for a newbie, particularly one who is not yet terrible savvy
