Migrate Borland TurboC++ to a Linux based GUI c++???

at
Asking any of you C++ guru's who might offer a recommendation?

I've got the source for a gui archive manipulation program that needs
to be migrated to Linux. Any recommendations as to where one can
research the necessary considerations? I am assuming the compiler
will be gcc 3.1 or above.

Recommendations please?

Thanks

I'd say, research them in comp.os.linux.development.apps.
