Rusty C++

Hey all,

Though in school I programmed exclusively in C++, it has been a while.
And now that I'm trying to pick it up again, I find it is not like
riding a bicycle!

Any recomendations on good overviews of C++ for those who already know
the basics of programming, i.e. I do not need to know the difference
between pass-by-value and pass-by-reference means.

I've been reading Effective C++ and have found that it is jarring my
memory, so any other books like this out there?

Thanks in advance,
John

After you finish the Effective series, you should try other funny
titles like "Efficient C++" or "Exceptional C++". Often the language
comes back when you read about some fancy techniques, and not about
the basics. Take an advanced book, like "C++ Templates" (many of
the techniques described there may not have been around last time
you used C++), or, if you want to risk it, "Modern C++ Design". It
will really give you a jolt.
