recommend a basic 2d plot library for windows

Hi,
I've been looking for a basic c++ 2D plot library to use with windows
(and visual studio). I was a bit overwhelmed by all the options I
found. Can someone here recommend a basic 2D plot library? I just need
to do very basic time series plots and maybe some very elementary
diagrams (some lines by specifying x,y coordinates).
kind regards,
Igor

You hardly need a library. Windows already has functions to handle most
of what you need quite directly. Unfortunately, they're off-topic here,
but if you ask in a newsgroup where they're at least marginally topical
(e.g. comp.os.ms-windows.program mer.win32) you'll probably get a lot of
help in a hurry.

Hi, I would shortly be working on DB2 UDB 8.1.2. I have no prior DB2 experience and need to be involved in the installation, maintainence and tuning of the database. Could you please recommend the best books around which will detail how to setup, maintain and manage DB2 databases. From the basic to the tuning part.

Hi, for my project I needs a few plots to visualize the data (mostly x-y plot) . Most of the existing plotting library either copy the data and do plotting, or takes a data pointer to an 2d x-y array, and plots it (without copying). As my data set is not so trivial (sometimes it is vector, sometimes list etc), and x, y are not fixed. so I want to have a plot as generic one, which take begin & end iterator, iterate over it and show the...

Hi, I am exploring the possibility of using python as a replacement of MATLAB when I leave school. So, I've been playing with matplotlib and have run into some weird behavior after recently installing python 2.5.1 and matplotlib 0.90 on my Windows XP machine. Here's an example of what I see:

Hi all, I've just downloaded scipy v 0.5.2 and I would like to be able to draw plots. I've tried: import scipy.gplt import scipy.plt import scipy.xplt and none of them work. Are these modules still included in scipy ? If not, where can I find them ?

I hate to do this, but I've thoroughly exhausted google search. Yes, it's that pesky root window and I have tried withdraw to no avail. I'm assuming this is because of the methods I'm using. I guess my question is two-fold. 1) How do I get rid of that window? 2) Any comments in general? I am just learning python (and coding with classes), so I'm sure there are things I should pound into my head before I learn bad habits. Here's the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
