Looking for a tool to create a function call cross ref. list\table\grap h

1 New Member
I a looking for a tool that creates a cross reference table for all global functions, and optionally class methods. That is, for each function, which function(s) does it call and what function(s) is it called by.

A visual directed graph is a 'nice to have' but a table, or even a sorted list will do. It would be nice if I can select the scope: within one or a subset of source files (incl. all source files).I use W2K(SP4) and VS2005 Pro for C/C++ programming. (It is hard to believe but this major IDE can't produce such a fundamental list, something that compilers from decades ago could.).

I installed Doxygen + GraphViz, which is suppose to produce such graphs but it didn't and w/o explanation.

Thanks

Too hard to do. One function can call another function which calls three functions each if which calls four functions.

I don't understand why you need this. I never have.

After trying to manually reverse-engineer a piece of code i've been handed using Visio I figure someone must have developed a tool that can do automatically in 5 minutes what took me 2 hours. What I need is a tool that i can tell to "start with this method call, and show me what happens" . The tool would then go through the sourcecode visually mapping dependencies for that particular call. Prefrebly i'd be allowed to specify which calls...

Hi there, I am looking for a challenging/development project for my masters course. Something with XML, like building tools/comms/data interchanges between systems say between computers/databases etc. If anyone is looking to something along those lines in a company or as a research item, I'd like to hear. If you think it's something that's been done to death, let me know as well.

Mornin, group. Long-time usenet lurker, 1st time poster to this group. If I am in the wrong ballpark, please point me in the right direction :-) I work in a call center and what we are looking for is something very simple (I was thinking MS Access?) where the user at the workstation would, to track their call, click on an appropriately labeled radio button (ie: call transer, reservation, price quote, etc). Then they would submit and...

Firebug is reporting "too much recursion" when I attempt to create a child element in a parent that doesn't exist yet. The script should automatically create the missing parent before going on to create the child element. At the point where the script is supposed to call itself with the new properties to create the parent, it gives me the error and looks like it's looping the function continuously. It seems that "id : attrib" (line 192) is...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
