saving data from multiple dynamically created input contols

20 New Member
Hi,

I have created a page with a list of items and next to these items are comment boxes and check boxes which were dynamically created like this:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.                   check = new CheckBox();
  2.                   check.ID = "Chk" + checkcount;
  3.
  4.                   if (dr["Checked"].ToString() == "True")
  5.                   {
  6.                       check.Checked = true;
  7.                   }
  8.                   else
  9.                   {
  10.                       check.Checked = false;
  11.                   }
  12.                   cell11.Controls.Add(check);
So now what i want to do is allow the user to check and uncheck the boxes and click an UPDATE button which takes the current state of all the check boxes/text boxes on the page and updates the data accordingly.

Thanks

Did you have a question about the implementation of your UPDATE algorithm?

I've got an online system which I'm interested in making available offline - i.e. letting the user download certain HTML forms, fill them out offline, then the next time he logs into the site, sending all the data he filled out to the system. However, I can't seem to come up with a good way to do this. I thought of using cookies (that'd be great, since the system could detect them automatically), but it seems I can't set cookies for my...

My subject probably isn't very descriptive of what I want to do, so let me explain: I wna tto have a website that holds a number of products, grouped by category. On the administration page of the website, I want to allow the operator to move products between categories. The interface I have in mind would have two dropdowns at the top, one to select the FROM categroy, which would cause the page to re-post, and thus display all of the...

Can anyone point me to an open source library of /statically allocated/ data structures? I'm writing some code that would benefit from trees, preferably self balancing, but on an embedded system that doesn't offer dynamic memory allocation (to be clear: no malloc, no realloc), and with rather tight memory constraints. Writing my own malloc to do dynamic allocation from some static pool isn't really an option, for various reasons, not...

Hi I have 2 data grids and several controls on a web page. The grids will vary in size, just wondering if the lower grid could be covered by part of the upper grid depending on its size or is there a way to dynamically shift the lower grid so it appears just below the upper grid? Thanks. -- Paul G Software engineer.

Hi, Im wondering if anyone can help me with a problem. I have a form with more than 50 unbound fields. Some of the fields will be blank from time to time. This seems to be where im having trouble. I have tried keeping some of the fields bound and when I use the save button it has been saving as 2 different records. This is unacceptable. This is what I have, can anyone help me out with this?

First off, i would like to thank everyone for any and all help with this. That being said, I am having a problem retrieving/posting my dynamic form data. I have a form that has multiple options within options. I have everything being dynamically named from the previously dynamically named element. (I hope this makes sense.) I am not able to retrieve any of the dynamically created values. I can view them on the source page but can't pull them...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
