When you compile a .c file on an operating system that supports .exe, it will automatically create the .exe (although you may need to specify the exact name, I think it defaults to a.exe).
More information on creating dll's (and more information about .exe) can be found by searching "c .exe .dll" (or similar) on the internet

Hi all, This isn't minimal code, but at least it gives the idea reasonably well - and yes, I'm a newb :( The point of me giving this code is that all three vars look to my eye as though they're being treated in exactly the same way, so that I end up confused about why the address-of-char doesn't get returned the way the other address-of-types do.

I know this is a bit of nonstandard behavior, but I would like the Enter key to move focus through a group of radiobuttons without selecting them. The user would then have to use Space or actually click to select one of the radiobuttons to select. The default behavior of Focus() seems to also select the radiobutton, but I can't seem to find what is causing this to happen. I would like very much to seperate the Focus and the selection....

I don't know whether anyone from Microsoft regularly reads the Visual Basic groups but if they do then I am very surprised that they permit one of their own MVPs to engage in such outrageous long term trolling activities in one of their own public newsgroups, such as the activity that the person who purports to be Bill McCarthy has engaged in on the microsoft.public.vb.general.discussion group for many months. If this man belongs to you: ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
