fixed point library

is anyone aware of a freely-available C fixed point library for
unix/linux systems?

i remember about 6-7 months ago, i searched the net and located a
project (i'm not sure now if it was open source or not) that was
developing a Q.16 fixed-point library. i'm searching today and can't
locate this project or the source code.

if anyone has any links to such a library, please let me know. i need
to convert some floating point operations into fixed-point.

thanks
pallav

I'm using the code below in my project. When I print all of these fixed length string variables, one per line, they strings in questions do not properly pad with 0s. strQuantity prints as " 4". Six spaces than the value of intQuantity. This is correct. But all the others end up being string objects of only 6 characters long (with the exception of strTotal). The left most positions of the string object are being padded with one...

Hello, I'm writing a fixed-precision floating point class, based on the ideas in the example fixed_pt class in the "Practical C++ Programming" book by Steve Oualline (O' Reilly). This uses a long int to store the value, and the precision (number of decimal points) is variable (it's a templated class): template <size_t _decimal_places = 4> class FixedFloat {

I've read a lot through the google archives, but I cannot seem to find an example... Has someone successfully made css code that allows for position: fixed to work in IE 6.0.2800? What is the url please? My partner is looking to make the top-right graphic stay in view as the reader scrolls down the page: <http://www.solitarytrees.net/trees.htm>

What are the purposes of fixed-point? When should it be used? I read: #define Int2Fixed(x) (((long)(short)x) << 16) and the fixed-point in 16.16 format. Does the 16 in the MACRO refer to integer or decimal part? For example, if in 8.24, should the macro be: #define Int2Fixed(x) (((long)(short)x) << 24)?

I created a wrapper class for a dll written in C. Will the following code prevent the "ENTIRE ARRAY" from being moved, not just the first array element? The Wrapper class will be instantiated in a VB .NET application which doesn't have the ability to prevent the array from being moved. Thanks in advance, coz public class Wrapper {

The problem there`s a lot of error when i try to make it with fixed point. this is my program #include "Unit1.h" #include "math.h" #include "fixed_math.hpp" #define MAXBITS 15 static float invGain1;

hi @all, I'm trying to validate a XML against a schema using the example from the MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.xml.xmlreadersettings.validationtype.aspx In my case this seems to validates my file, because the ValidationCallBack handler is not called. But the file is invalid due to a wrong fixed attribute.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
