is there any "join" implementation source code available?

I want a implementation just like the "join" in the unix shell, I
googled the web and found nothing. Any suggestion will be highly
appreciated, thank you~

An obvious place to look would be one of the Linux distros, or cygwin.

The shell join is a text join, not a process join. There should be join
source in cygwin.

These are the join functions from our code search engine, some of them
seem to be text join that you may find useful,

Hello, I'm getting an error join-ing strings and wonder if someone can explain why the function is behaving this way? If I .join in a string that contains a high character then I get an ascii codec decoding error. (The code below illustrates.) Why doesn't it just concatenate? I'm building up a web page by stuffing an array and then doing "".join(r) at

I have a SQL query I'm invoking via VB6 & ADO 2.8, that requires three "Left Outer Joins" in order to return every transaction for a specific set of criteria. Using three "Left Outer Joins" slows the system down considerably. I've tried creating a temp db, but I can't figure out how to execute two select commands. (It throws the exception "The column prefix 'tempdb' does not match with a table name or alias name used in the query.")

Hello everybody, I have the following question. As a join clause on Oracle we use " table1.field1 = table2.field1 (+) " On SQL Server we use " table1.field1 *= table2.field1 " Does DB2 have the same type of operator, without using the OUTER JOIN syntax ?

I'm using postgresl 7.3.2 and have a query that executes very slowly. There are 2 tables: Item and LogEvent. ItemID (an int4) is the primary key of Item, and is also a field in LogEvent. Some ItemIDs in LogEvent do not correspond to ItemIDs in Item, and periodically we need to purge the non-matching ItemIDs from LogEvent. The query is: delete from LogEvent where EventType != 'i' and ItemID in

Basically i'm trying to form a mac packet. 1. a simple mac header is generated using struct.pack('!HH', desti_mac, src_mac) 2. the packet is created using ''.join(header, .....) Could anyone explain what pack and join really do, and suggest a way of retrieving header part(for retrieving desti_mac and src_mac purpose) from received packet(demodulated, let's assume it's same as the string created by join) Also, with a bit of luck, does...

I have an application that occassionally is called upon to process strings that are a substantial portion of the size of memory. For various reasons, the resultant strings must fit completely in RAM. Occassionally, I need to join some large strings to build some even larger strings. Unfortunately, there's no good way of doing this without using 2x the amount of memory as the result. You can get most of the way there with things like...

I have a query that currently pulls data from a main table and a second table using LEFT OUTER JOIN. I know how to do make another LEFT OUTER JOIN with the main table, but I want to add another LEFT OUTER JOIN to the second table. So I want the third table to be joined through the second table, not the main table. Here is my original code that joins the main table and the second table SELECT t1.supply, t2.inventory, FROM MAIN_TABLE...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
