Essential Mathematics for Games and Interactive Applications

If you are into 3d programming, you may be interested in this book:
_Essential Mathematics for Games and Interactive Applications_

I just bought it on a lark. After looking it over, I have to say it looks
to be well written. The reason I'm mentioning it here is because it comes
with what looks to be a pretty nice C++ library. The licensing terms for
the CD seem quite reasonable. Basically, you can use the code for your own
projects, but don't act like you wrote it.

"If our hypothesis is about anything and not about some one or more
particular things, then our deductions constitute mathematics. Thus
mathematics may be defined as the subject in which we never know what we
are talking about, nor whether what we are saying is true." - Bertrand

I want to have some games in an application I'm considering. I see game creation stuff on the web... anything best suited for Java... or written with Java? Of course, we could do 'em from scratch but certainly someone has already created a tool or whatever to make it faster and easier. Oh, and we need to be able to use the games we create without restrictions

Hello, I failed to locate a list for pygtk, so I thought I'd ask my question here. Is it possible to write CGI scripts that bring up a GUI (as in GTK+, QT, Tk, ...) or an openGL display that is windowed inside a web browser? The answer would seem to me to be no, since the client could be Windows or Linux. I'd like to

Hey Recently, I researched using C++ for game programming and here is what I found: C++ game developers spend a lot of their time debugging corrupted memory. Few, if any, compilers offer completely safe modes. Unsurprisingly, there is a very high failure rate among projects using C++ for modern game development.

I am experimenting with the interactive interpreter environments of Python and Ruby and I ran into what seems to be a fundamental difference. However I may be doing something wrong in Python. Please comment and correct me if I am wrong In both languages, you can start up the interactive interpreter ('python' and 'irb'), load source files and do stuff, like create objects and call their methods. When you want to change something, you can...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development projectplanning, coding, testing, and deploymentwithout human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
