I am trying to set a TableCellEditor for a JTable, however, the editor never seems to get called. I can not even get a simplified version (below) to work. When I put a breakpoint on the return statement in getTableCellEditorComponent, it never stops there even though I edit cells in the table. Can anyone tell me what I am missing. By the way, I have gotten TableCellRenderers to work with no problems. public class Frame1 extends...

I'm trying to use some code that's roughly 20 years old with my C++ ..NET app. I get a boatload of errors when trying to compile it - stuff like C2692 for the old-style function declarations, also C4027 and C2197. The code compiles okay without the /clr switch. I've tried putting #pragma unmanaged at the top of each file, but that didn't help. Is there any other solution? It would take forever to try to fix all the source by hand. ...

Hello, I'm trying to use a DLL (by static linking) which was compiled with Borland C++Builder (BCB) in Visual C++ (Visual-Studio 2003). All functions are declared with the directive 'extern "C"' so that a cross-compiler-usage must be possible. I created an import library (.lib) for MSVC by using the LIB function and using a .DEF file (as described in KB131313 -

Hello there, I'm having some problems setting the TextBox.Text Property in my code and having it returned to the client in the source when the TextBox.TextMode="Password". I know this is generally not a good idea to fill it with the actual password but I would like to put '*'s in it as place holders just so it looks like the password is actually typed out in there. Thanks,

I am attempting to set up a datagrid that will 1) display a subset of data from a SQL Stored Procedure in a different order form how SQL returns it, and 2) display 3 of the columns using pulldowns. I have gotten code for both from the www.syncfusion.com site, but am having trouble making them work. Below is the relevant code: ' Setup the permissions grid ' Fill the dataset of permissions Dim dt As DataTable = dsUserData.Tables(0)

I seem to be having errors creating and accessing an SQL database. Unfortunatley, I am brand new to SQL setup and administration issues so this really is not my area of expertise. I know I had to install some type of IIS component to run databases from Visual Studio 2003. Since then, I've installed Visual Studio 2005. I know VS 2005 has some component so that IIS is not required. Here's the two errors:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
