How to bind data to datagrid from database of remote computer?

Hi All,

I'm now need to retrieve the data from database and bind the data to the datagrid.

For example,

I have a table which is a collection of questions and it is stored in the database(Microsoft SQL Server 2008) of remote computer. How can I retrieve the questions from the database through web service and bind it to the datagrid of another computer?

Please guide me.Thanks.

Unfortunately the scope of your question is quite a large one, which is probably the reason the question has not been addressed in 2 weeks. Retrieving information from the SQL server you mentioned, can be accomplished in many ways. A web service is one, however I would avoid that subject at first if you are just now learning to connect to databases.

Instead I would recommend you first learn how to communicate with an SQL server directly using the built in SqlConnection class abilities of the SqlClient namespace found in System.Data, more information on this subject can be acquired on the following MSDN page:
