I use the following for parsing XML...

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...ldocument.aspx
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...l.xmlnode.aspx

The XmlNode class has an Attributes that you can use to set the the Value of any particular attribute. See the examples provided, especially on the Attributes property.

I'm confused, are you parsing an XML file, or a word file containing XML?

I'm not sure (you can try) but I think the XmlDocument and XmlNode classes will still handle schema info. After that, as I said, you just use the XmlAttribute property. Have a look at the examples there and give it a try... if it doesn't work, at least you'll know.

But you're gonna have to crack down and start writing some code :)
