How to copy a file during installation

i have built a program for the college i am working at for my work experience, it is a program what installs programs and changes registry settings for the new pcs that have to be built, and all of the files will be moved soon so that means that the program will not run.

Is there a way that you can either store the files in the program and copy them to a directory when using the program, or to just place the files in a certain directory when installing the program?

Thanks.

Google for .NET installer project. I think it has the functionality you need. It copies some files (which should be also included into the project) to some specified directories and also can modify registry settings with it.

How is the removal happening?
It really sounds like you are trying to sneak in a program before the college's I.T. department does the proper installation.
How else would your installation be undone?
