Moving one item from one list to another

I was wondering if it was possible to move a single item from one list to another?

(to get some insight on what I am working on, which maybe can help you understand my problem. I am working on this project where me and my group are making a system for a sports association. The structure of our program is as following:

We have groups and in theses groups we have classes, and in thes classes we have the individual person and within this person we have the resultats on that single person. So basically we have a 4 classes. Groups, Classes, Persons and Resultats. Now I want to move the information of the single person to another group. How do I do this?...

(I have uploaded at little picture that explains the structure, hope it helps! :D it is in danish, sorry for that)

if this information is somewhat impossible to understand, then forget about it and just look at my first question!!!!!)

Please explain with example if possible :)

Bytes has a policy regarding assisting students with their homework.

The short version is that the volunteers here can't help you with schoolwork.
A) We don't know what material you have and have not learned in class.
B) We don't know the guidelines you must follow.
C) In the long run giving you the answers actually short changes your education.

Hint 1: Try hitting Google with terms of your programming language and primary terms of what you want to do. For example "C# custom events" or "VB datagrid Excel". I've found this to be a very effective tool.
Hint 2: Your text book
Hint 3: Your instructor
Hint 4: Posting guidelines regarding homework assignments.

Is a person only ever in one group?
How are you storing people in your groups?
Looks like a simple remove then add operation to me.

In that nicely detailed question you never once showed us what you are using as a "List"...how do lists tie into your question at all?
