3D Image Reconstruction

7
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am totally new in 3D software development and would like to know what kind of methods are the best for the above article. So far I studied a bit in GDI, DirectX, OpenGL,WPF and XNA, however, I couldn't managed to decide which is the reliable one for my work.

So, please advice me and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks and best regards

This is an extremely broad question. It all depends on the environment you're developing for and what you feel comfortable with.

I personally like OpenGL, DirectX is also very powerful.
If you're going to be developing for PC's I suggest you use DirectX.
WPF allows you to play around with the look and feel of things, but I feel it lacks the raw capabilities of directX, so if you're going to be developing virtual environments (like a game world) don't bother with WPF.

WPF is very good at making applications look more stylish, but its far too untidy (again my opinion) for anything more complex.

GDI is ok for light weight graphics, not my first choice for more complex environments.

Without more details, i'm not sure how to answer your question. I hope this is of some help to you.
