tables in user control

i am using a table as a user control. i hv a button and each time i click the button, a new table is created. the problem is that the code i hv written, works only for the first time i click the button. please help.

in the .aspx.cs page, under the btnClick event i hv written
phTableEntry.Controls.Add(LoadControl ("~/UserControl/TableEntryControl.ascx"));
phTableEntry is the ID for the placeholder. what else should i write?

I meant the entire button_click method so we can see why it works once, but not therafter. One line doesn't help much for understanding the entire function and it's logic problem.
