stamping a page

Is there any way to stamp a page with a version nu, perferably from
Subversion or a date stamp by MS Dev Studio?
I want to know what version of a web page I have posted to my server, so I
can figure out if a problem occurred with a particular version?
If I were programming in C++, I could use the #pragma directive, but I don't
know how to do this programmitically in VB or C#

The version is stored in AssemblyInfo.cs like this:

[assembly: AssemblyVersion("2.1.1.1")]

You can view it at runtime like this:

Label1.Text =
System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly(). GetName().Version.ToString();

Note also there's an article here on auto-incrementing the build number:

http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dotnet...t_Version.aspx

Is that what you meant?
