Hi all!

I am having problems on installing .NET Framework 3.5 on some machines. In
one machine the error is:

For info, we ran into two problems with the 3.5 install that both
manifested as 1603:

1: IIS; shut it down *completely* during installation
2: admin account; domain admin wasn't good enough! we had to make the
installing user a local admin of each box during install. I don't know
why, but it worked.

Right click the setup file for dotnetfx35 and choose Properties. Near
the bottom, make sure there's no message about the file coming from an
"untrusted source." If there is, click Unblock then click Ok.

Alvin Bruney [ASP.NET MVP]

Uninstall 3.0, run as admin and install 3.0 followed by 3.5. Google 1603 for
the possible workarounds as well which is why your installation is failing.
Typical issue with a few solutions.
