Whilst at the same time taking those reviews with a fair pinch of
salt, to be honest.

I bought two books. Essential Windows Presentation Foundation and some
other one that comes with colour examples. To be honest the book in colour
didn't teach me nearly as well as the one I have named, I learned most from
the named book, although if you can afford both I would recommend you do
that :-)

The one with color is Windows Presentation Foundation Unleashed. I have
those two books also along with Petzold's book. We just had Billy
Hollis to our user group for a fantastic presentation on WPF and
Silverlight. He is currently working on a book for MS press. I'll be
excited to read that one if its as good as his presentation.
