which SDK?

I'm trying to work through some sample of WPF. The Simple Binding example
says the following:

"Install the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) and open its build
environment command window. On the Start menu, point to All Programs,
Microsoft Windows SDK, and then click CMD Shell."

So, I google Windows Software Development Kit and find many different SDKs.
Which one do I want? It doesn't seem to be the VS 2008 SDK.

I also find windows sdk for vista, for windows server 2008, etc.

Specifically, I need the one that contains SDKSample.

Sounds like the .NET 3.5 SDK. That's what I'd use :-)

Personally I would use VS2008 and avoid any tutorial with any of the
following words
"cmd", "command prompt", "csc", "notepad", "cobol"
