Application.ExecutablePath - debug mode problem

I have an XML file that stores some application data. I really don't
want to have a separate versions of the XML file for debugging and
when executing the .EXE. If I use Application.ExecutablePath to get
the file (which will reside on the same dir as the app) it will vary
when running in the IDE (Debug dir vs Release dir). Is there an easy
way to always get the Release directory? Do I just need to do some
parsing to replace "debug" with "Release" or is there a more elegant
solution?
